In 2017, I worked as a Consultant, Technical Lead for Africa, and Senior Software Engineer for Open Learning Exchange (OLE) International, leading the design, customization, and field deployment of education technology solutions across remote and underserved areas. In this role, I oversaw the technical development and regional execution of OLE’s mission to deliver learning opportunities to marginalized communities.

I designed and customized scalable digital learning platforms based on open-source technologies, adapting solutions for offline use in environments with minimal infrastructure. I led the deployment of these systems across multiple African countries, including travelling to Uganda, where I conducted on-the-ground assessments, infrastructure setup, and system installations in rural areas. My work involved training local teachers, facilitators, and technical teams—many from hard-to-reach and under-resourced communities—on managing, using, and maintaining the platforms effectively.

Beyond technical deployment, I provided strategic managerial oversight, ensuring successful project implementation timelines, liaising with community leaders, NGOs, and government stakeholders. I demonstrated hands-on field expertise in hardware/software integration, network topology design for rural setups, troubleshooting under unpredictable conditions, and capacity building. My work with OLE International solidified my reputation for combining technical excellence with real-world operational leadership, delivering sustainable education technology solutions in some of the world’s most challenging environments.
