Exchange Server: Messaging Configuration and Management

In this project, I configured and managed various Exchange Server messaging components for a corporate environment. I started by logging into the Exchange Admin Center (EAC) and creating three mail-enabled users to simulate real-world users within the Adatum.com domain. I then proceeded to create two mailbox databases (MB1 and MB2) to manage user mailbox distribution efficiently. Afterward, I successfully moved a user mailbox from one database to another using the Exchange Management Shell by running move requests and monitoring their progress.

Next, I created a shared mailbox named SharedMailbox1 and assigned permissions to two users (User1 and User2) to send emails from it. I tested the configuration by sending emails from the shared mailbox through Outlook Web App (OWA) and verified delivery by logging into different user accounts. I also set up a distribution group (Group1), assigned ownership to User1, added User2 and User3 as members, and confirmed group email functionality by sending and receiving messages across accounts.

To conclude, I configured Send on Behalf permissions, allowing User2 to send emails on behalf of User1 using Exchange Management Shell commands. I tested this permission through OWA, ensuring that User2 could successfully compose and send an email on behalf of User1. Through these tasks, I demonstrated proficiency in Exchange Server management, user collaboration setup, and email system administration within a corporate network.
